This was intense drama.  We had excellent seats in Row E with a wonderful view of the stage and great listening experience of both Orchestra and Singers.  Deborah Voigt did a splendid job as Salome.  John the Baptist was very powerful as well.   I really, really, really enjoyed this performance.  It was a beautiful afternoon. We spent some time in front of the Opera house doing selfies then went to the pre-performance discussion. The speaker, a professor at MU, was outstanding as well.  He interjected dry humor in giving us some background for the Opera derived from an Oscar Wilde Play which comes from Mark VI in the Bible.
