===== Mr. Harry F. Rumley, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023. =====

He is preceded in death by his parents Naomi Rumley Boyles and Tom Rumley, step-father Bob Boyles, and brother Billy Rumley. He is survived by his wife Terry Rumley; daughters Megan Rumley, Kimberley Rumley, and Nikki Blount; son-in-law Luke Blount; grandchildren Naomi, Edie, and Shepherd Blount; siblings Tom Rumley, Dickie Rumley, and Lynda Prokopiak; and many extended family members.

Harry was born on June 18, 1954 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He is a 1973 graduate of Reidsville Senior High School and received a bachelor’s degree in physics from East Carolina University. He went on to have a successful career as a software engineer, culminating in over 20 years’ tenure at IBM.

Harry married Terry on September 1, 1984. They lived in Cary, North Carolina for their entire married lives. Harry was an enthusiastic tennis player and golfer, a dedicated soccer coach for his daughters, and enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife. His role as Papa gave him great joy, and he delighted in playing Go Fish, playing with trucks, and reading books with his grandchildren.

A service will be held in his honor at 2pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Cary Alliance Church in Apex, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harry’s name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation
