La Clemenza
This was a very familiar Mozart Opera although I have never seen it before. The recitatives grew a little long accompanied by the Harpsichord but the overall Opera was stupendous as only the Met can do. Wonderful staging, excellent singing and a great orchestra gave us a delightful Saturday afternoon.  According to the interviews, this was one of Mozarts late life operas and he poured himself into it.  What a talent.  We enjoyed the intermission interview with Kate Lindsey. She's a mezzo we like very much.
