We started our journey on Good Friday, April 6, 2012 and drove to Jefferson, GA. Jefferson is about 30 miles North of Atlanta on I-85. We stopped at the Tanger Outlet and bought new shoes at Reebok because I had my dirty gardening shoes on. There was a huge Tiger Direct store behind the Comfort Inn we were staying at in Jefferson.
Saturday morning April 7, 2012 we drove to Ashton B&B on Esplanade in New Orleans. Monday we left Ashtons and drove to Lafayette for the start of our Road Scholar adventure which began at 4:30 with orientation and then dinner at the Hub City Diner. Lafayette is known as the Hub City.
