Another year has come and gone. The silent falling of the golden Oak leaves on our prairie/meadow style lawn means two things: we're approaching the sunset of another year and this year's crop of miscellaneous dandelions, daisies, goldenrod, crabgrass and buttercups growing in our yard is getting simultaneously fertilized and smothered. We can't believe that some of our neighbors actually toil all summer with smelly, noisy machinery to perform an operation called mowing on nature's bounty when Oak leaves allow us to enjoy the wild beauty of the yard all summer and then go about doing their work covering everything up until another season. The fragrance and crispness underfoot add to the delights of winter as we await the first dandelion of spring to appear through nature's carpeting.
Joe is fully enjoying life as he discovers the joys of mountain streams, waterfalls and the rarefied air of the Smoky Mountain tops. From any of the hazy blue mountain peaks soaring over 6,000 feet into the heavens, you can look out and see mountain range after mountain range cascading off into the distance for hundreds of miles.
Libbie is flying like the Bluebird of happiness on songs and flowers as the glow of her life radiates into the faces and hearts of others: friends, customers and family. With a smile in her eyes and warmth in her heart, she greets the challenges of each new day playing the notes of life measure by measure, making her way from the overture of a new year to the glorious climax and grand finale of 1995.
Tom has spent the year on an operatic voyage surfing majestic clouds in aria after aria of exuberance as he too looks forward to the grand finale of 1995. It was a year of sun drenched skies, and the beautiful coastal surroundings on journeys through Sarasota FL, Houston TX and Wilmington NC. From gulf to sea, the silent watchful eye of GOES satellite imagery kept vigil while Tom dealt with the simultaneous challenges of hardware, software, customers and the constraints of time. Tom is still traveling on the gossamer notes of each measure to a joyful beat, accompanied by the warmth and love of spouse Libbie and Son Joseph on the road to Valhalla.
To all a prosperous and joyful New Year!
