Sarasota Grand tour

This morning we went to Havertys to find what to do with the old sofa. Habitat couldn't take them. After a few calls we got the Salvation Army to take the furniture tomorrow. Good deal. The refrigerator is supposed to come tomorrow. We then went to Selby for a walk through the houses and gardens. The Woman's art guild was having an art show in the mansion. It was mostly watercolors by woman painters but it was very good. We had lunch there in the cafe. We split a turkey cranberry sandwich. Our next stop was the Ringling because it's Monday and the Ringling is free on Monday. We both were tired but latched onto a docent led tour of the Rubens and painters of the early centuries. It was educational. Went home after this and had dinner in the clubhouse. The menu was very limited burgers and sandwiches. It was not very crowded. We left there at 7:30 and went to Publix for Moose Tracks Ice Cream. I like the raspberry better. |
