flying

We left home at 5:30 for our 7:30 flight. Everything went smoothly but we barely had a few bites of our breakfast sandwich when they started boarding the plane. The sandwich costed $8.39 plus $2 each for coffee. We boarded and took a seat behind the wing which Lib informed me wasn't great. Even worse a 400 pound woman sat between us and took up a large portion of each of our seats.
Our plane pulled away from the jetway but had to return because a light came on for the number 2 engine. We waited 10 minutes while maintenance checked it out and we were cleared. The flight was very smooth. I used the tablet to track the flight and to read the Richard Paul Evans book "The Walk". Our hertz rental car is a corolla with 35,000 miles on it and pretty beat up with nicks, scratches and a back seat falling out. When I got to Sarasota I found I forgot my gate card. Talked our way in and bought a new card at the office for $10. We had lunch at the clubhouse consisting of a salmon burger that we split and a Yuengling. Very nice. The condo looks great. We went to Lowes and picked out carpeting and arranged for a measurer to come out this weekend. We went back at 6 for ribs, I had the prime rib and a glass of wine. My ear is stuffed up from the flight and I'm having trouble swallowing. The Lowes guy called and will come tomorrow to measure around noon.
