I got a lot of the pages working on the sprinkler controller. The biggest issue was the NTP time. I ended up using a neat technique which extracts the time from a URL return header. It returns the header reliably. The issue now is to convert this to epoch time in order to set the Real Time Club (RTC). Dinner tonight was spaghetti with cheese sprinkled over the top.
