flying

Up at 4 AM this morning then out the door on time at 4:30 AM. The Southwest line was light and TSA was easy. The flight to Baltimore was very smooth. We arrived early. Unfortunately we were planning to have breakfast at McDonalds and it was boarded up in the airport. The line at Chick Fil A was very long but we should have stuck with it. Instead we had a bacon and egg biscuit at Arbys which was awful. A very old hard biscuit with rubbery manufactured eggs. At least the coffee was very good. The second flight was totally full but it too was very smooth. i had trouble with the Enterprise Kiosk, it said my drivers license didn't match. I need more leading zeroes in my profile. We stood in line instead. We got an upgrade to a full size car because an intermediate was not available. We got a Nissan which was old and had a stained drivers seat but it was very smooth riding and comfortable unlike that Chevy impala we had last time. We picked up a Sub on Portsmouth along with some chips and took it to Barbara's house where we each had 1/3 of a turkey sub. Barbara is trying to get along without Bill but he did so much with the finances and bills that she is still bewildered by it all. We then went to check into our Air BnB. I tried a little Clarinet practice but was concerned about our hosts upstairs. We went over to Brookdale at 4:30 for 5 PM dinner with George and the ladies at his table. I had a salad, pork chop and corn on the cob. Dessert was a slice of pound cake with strawberry syrup. After dinner we went to Connors for cereal and milk then Spirits Liquor store for a bottle of Cabernet. We had a glass of Cabernet with some cheddar popcorn. I was able to access Traviata and play some music using the Plex server at home. I also was able to organize some of the CDs that i had ripped and placed on Traviata. Some of them are still on Manon that need transfer to Traviata so they were no organized. |
