Tom's synopsis of June 17
Assembling the Remains by ShaLeigh Dance Works devoted to domestic violence victims. 3 Dancers in black tights and white tee shirts performed with 3 metal chairs.
Its been one Week - Caroline Calouche. She and a male dancer perform being together - driving, arguing, loving.. Clips from Amerian Idol, some songs and various sounds are used for the music.
Beauty 3 - K Rain Leander. A woman slowly walks the length of the main aisle, crawls on stage and disappears under the backdrop while portraying a series of writhing twisitng slow movements.
Return - Even Exchange, a large group of woman of all ages dance together in a nicely choreographed, nicely costumed piece.
Afterwards we stayed for the interesting discussion of the dance. A worthwhile performance.
