It was a rainy night. Drove over there in rain which never let up including the ride home. An entertaining moment was a wedding a Duke chapel in the rain. Four groomsman stretched a tarp out over the head of a bride as she walked to the church. The first performance, I'm Gonna Lock You in My Pocket, a man and woman on a dock type platform, danced together to clock like sounds. Later the music started and they seemed to be doing synchronized swimming routines on their back before the woman jumped off the platform and danced round the dock. The second performance, “Traces, Marks” had 8 dancers in black leotards while a girl traced herself on the floor on a large sheet of paper. A video projected across the back of the stage was of her tracing herself. When it was over she used the sheet of paper as a cover up wrap and danced with it. Next we had a Third Life in which 6 dancers entered from the rear of the auditorium in white hazmat suits and looked around and up and down and at the audience. The curtain then opened to a fog enshrouded stage lit with hazy blue lights. The dancers then danced. One of them appeared to be very pregnant. The last Paige performance, “Somethings Afoot”, had 16 dancers in leotards covered with white shirts which they later removed ceremoniously. This was a large number with chanting of children's verses by the dancers.
The audience then moved in the rain to Reynolds where the last performance concluded with a girl rubbing the terrace flagstones with scraps of paper in silence while a video projector bathed her in projected slides.
