Macbeth by Verdi
We reaffirmed why we come to the HD performances. This one was a showcase for the chorus and was absolutely wonderful. From the pianissimos to the soaring notes of the full chorus topped by the voice of Anna Netrebko, this was a fitting kickoff of the new season. We're looking forward to many more HD performances.
Interestingly, our host Anita Rachvelishvili did a commendable job as a non English speaking mezzo. She will be Carmen in a few weeks which we will miss because of the LSAVC convention.
