Tom's Life Bits

We enjoyed this story of 2 young teen boys who have to live with their very strict, stern and loveless Grandmother. Their Father has run up a debt from his wife's illness and subsequent death. To pay off the debt he takes a job selling scrap metal which forces him to travel leaving the boys with Grandma and a wacky aunt, Aunt Belle. A gangster, Uncle Louie makes an appearance. Grandma and Belle make ends meet by running a restaurant downstairs. This play is all about a funny and also serious portrait of an American Family in the 1940's.
