Tom's Life Bits

Loved this opera by a fine cast. We had excellent seats in row E in the center. Musetta was particularly good. Both Rodolfo and Marcello were played by strong tenors. Our soprano playing Mimi was weak at times and very powerful at other times. The sets were a big surprise. They had a very detailed and full set for the bohemian apartment room and then a very detailed set for the Latin Quarter and the Cafe Momus. The size of the chorus for Cafe Momus was large, they filled the stage. The surprise was an outstanding children's course. They were really good. Sarasota Opera is quite amazing. Would like to attend a lot more productions.
