This is an old revision of the document!

Rosie Herrera

This was a long program of 2 dances. At every twist and turn we weren't sure what was next. The first number was “Dining Alone” which started off with 2 dozen plates spinning and a lone dancer. The dancer was soon joined by others, eventually a single dancer picked up all the plates and then laying them in a diagonal line. She moved from plate to plate and then back again. The piece ended with plates rolling onto the stage from off stage, one at a time. It was pretty funny to see what the plates did. When the dancers first came on stage at the beginning, one of them in particular was larger than the others. She was the Soprano who did a wonderful job singing some arias.
The second number was much more musical with recognizable classic rock songs. The piece was titled “Pity Party” and was a party which involved balloons, party hats and puppets. At one point the cast came down into the audience and posed in group shots around hapless individuals with the words “cheese”. I noticed the little female dancers intentionally walked across the seat backs to go down a row instead of going around. I guess this was for effect. It was a lot of fun. There were even a few audience poses.
