Sarasota continues to put on high quality Operas with wonderful sets, fantastic singing and a full orchestra. This time the costumes were a treat. We think we are seeing the benefits of the purchase of a Costume Shop. The singing was over the top good. There was not a bad voice in the bunch. Because it had all the hit tunes that we knew it was an enjoyable evening. We met a delightful old guy wearing a red jacket with gold embroidery. He said he was 88 yo and married for 61 years. He told us stories of going to the Met in NY as well as to La Scala.
