Obituary for Robert W. Kruppa
Robert W. Kruppa, known by family and friends as “Bob”, 80, Charlotte, NC, passed away on October 19, 2021 at home. He was born on July 2, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Joseph and Anna Kruppa .
Bob was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his Bachelors with a concentration on Electrical Engineering. He was an accomplished Electrical Engineer and achieved the title of Master Inventor at IBM. Bob successfully obtained five Patents for which he and his family were very proud of. His family enjoyed listening to him play classical piano selections and he was also a piano tuner. In addition to playing classical piano music, some of his favorite pastimes were woodworking, tennis, riding his motorcycle. As a photography enthusiast, he loved taking pictures of people and wildlife.
His family will remember Bob as someone who enjoyed all things in life that required skill and dedication, and he held a deep respect for achievement. He had a loyal and dependable love for family and was always active in supporting and encouraging them.
At the time of his passing, Bob was married to his best friend and wife of 57 years, Loretta “Lore” Kruppa. Together they had two beautiful children Kim and Rob. In addition to being survived by Lore, Kim and Rob, his memory will be cherished by his son in law Ken Klawonn and grandchildren Lauren Blake and Emily Klawonn. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church with entombment at Forest Lawn East Cemetery immediately following.
