Le Corsaire
It was 11 am Sunday morning. There was only one other person in the theater!! This performance was a spectacle in every sense of the word. I absolutely love the stunning sets, costumes an most of all the expert dancers of the Bolshoi. The Animated Garden in particular had 44 girls in tutu's on stage along with assorted others. This is a very very large company. The music of course was the hit of the show. This was sort of a pastiche in which the music of Adolphe Adam was supplemented by works from Delibes and Pepin. Wow, we are so lucky to be able to see dancing of this quality.
My favorite of course is the host, Katerina Novikova. Dressed in a formal black dress with sheer top she impressed once again with her command of three languages while doing the interviews. She's extremely pretty and animated. Love watching her!!!
