Operating the HTX 202

The transceiver has two power modes: hi and low power. Low power is one watt and is achieved by pressing the low power button down.

The internal memory is backed up with an internal lithium battery. When the display says ER1, the battery needs replacing. To clear the internal settings, hold down F + CLR and turn on the power. ER1 is an internal memory error.

  • Tuning: Press VF, enter frequency without the “1”. e.g. 144.390, enter 44390. Press CLR if you make a mistake.
  • Manual tuning: Press VF, turn tune knob on top, one frequency per click.
  • Lock keypad: Press F + Lock. Lock is displayed. Press F + Lock to unlock.
  • Memory: Press Vf and tune to frequency to store. Press F and rotate TUNE until the desired memory number is displayed next to the frequency. Fress F + M-WR for at least one second to store.
  • Select stored memory: Press MR, rotate TUNE to desired memory
  • Clear select memory: Press MR, select the memory to clear with TUNE. Press F + M-CLR to clear the selected memory.
