John Louis Botjer

John Louis Botjer, age 91, of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
John lived a life filled with love. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Dorothy, and a proud father to Beth, Phil, and Pete; His granddaughters, Stacy, Angie, Jessica, and Clare and 7 great-grandchildren.
A man of many talents, John was known for his hard work and commitment to his profession. He spent 46 years as an Electrical Engineer at IBM, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike. John's work ethic was matched only by his generosity and willingness to help others, which endeared him to everyone who knew him.
John loved the outdoors, often spending weekends fishing or flying. Until the day he died, he always wondered what he would do when he grew up.
In addition to his family, John is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park.
