Our first 3D movie. I liked it but of course the 3D is just an add-on to an already good story. The hand drawn animation holds up amazingly well. I had to Google how they did the 3D. Using the original artwork they decided which objects were to go on each layer then used the computer to render the depth of each layer. It was quite effective. Some of the 3D was better than others but the quality was evident throughout the movie. Once again, I have to remind myself that it's the story. We saw a lot of compelling previews of upcoming 3D kid movies such as Puss N Boots and the Pirate Movie.
