Tom's Life Bits

This was an interesting Opera. The songs are great, I'm not thrilled with the singing or possibly I'm not familiar with it. The Mark Morris ballet sequence was totally fantastic. A troupe of 6 Chinese ballet dancers with guns have some fantastic moves with precise movements, high kicks and crisp hand, leg and body motions. Loved it. The male and female principal dancers wowed me. They did some traditional American style partners dancing along with much other stuff. I told Libbie I wouldn't mind seeing a Mark Morris ballet version of this opera.
