Romeo and Juliet

We saw this live at 3:30 PM on March 22, 2012 in Morrisville, NC. There were 6 other people in the theater for this performance. I think many people are missing out on these performances because they don't know about them.
Wow, was this good. The Act II Pas de Deux leading up to the kiss was one of the best I have ever seen, not to mention that it was very erotic. What a great job by Juliet danced by Lauren Cutbbertson. She has a classical almost waif like body. This was everything to like about this ballet. The fabulous Prokofiev score kept the pace moving along nicely, the well costumed dancers of the Royal Ballet and the magnificent scenery were a treat. Romeo and Juliet were exquisitely danced to choreography by the late Kenneth McMillan. We enjoyed one of the intermission features explaining his choreography and some of the reasons for some of the choreography. There was another intermission feature about the techniques for proper sword fighting and keeping to the beat of the music. Just fabulous! I want this DVD, the dancing as well the ballet as a whole was that good.
