I think TV reflects the character and personalities of those who watch it the most. The immature uneducated and self indulgent. It is worse than a wasteland because it wastes the only thing that you cannot save or ever get back, Time! It makes us spectators instead of participants. It's job is to make you mildly discontent with what you are and have and proposes that buying this or that will help you feel better. It is destroying the health of this nation, both mentally and physically. If anything Minow was very perceptive.
